I began this painting with the idea of using a lighter palette and trying to reveal areas of previous layers, the interplay between areas of thicker textured areas with areas where the original loose marks are evident. I tried not to be too precious with this and let some of the spontaneous "mistakes" remain. If indeed they are mistakes.
