I have the good fortune to have a close friend who lives in Albuquerque, NM. I have visited him many times and every time I visit we go on a number of hikes. The colors in this painting reminded me of the Sandia Crest just to the east of Albuquerque. La Luce is the trail on the western side from the summit to the base.
