Bold black and gray brushstrokes are juxtaposed with more saturated areas of pinks, yellows and blues. The saturated area are highlighted by the darker unsaturated grays and browns around the outer edged of the painting. Many interesting textures. Painted in mid-february, when the news was particularly bleak.
